Tom and I went for our first hike of the season, on Saturday, to Webster’s Falls. This is one of several waterfalls that surrounds Hamilton. They are joined together by the Bruce Trail, which goes from Niagara to Tobermory.
Here’s the path we walked along.
Here’s the river we walked beside.
Tree roots without soil. You realize how tough nature really can be. Plants grow in the most amazing conditions.
These are the woods on the other side of the river.
There were several mini-falls further downstream.
Another part of the trail was a mass of tree roots.
It was a beautiful day and a lovely hike.
The pictures look great…amazing what an IPod can do…that really was a great first hike of the year…can’t wait for the next one!
The Bruce Trail beckons…
