Taking the Bus

Becky took the bus home today. This was the first time traveling from her day program. She used TransHelp a couple of years ago when she was at the height of her independence. Things took a little dive after some emotional problems, and she hasn’t used the transit system since. This is a huge sign of her regaining her confidence, and will be one more step towards her traveling independently. For today, I waited (for an hour) in the lobby to help Becky in once she had arrived. We still have keys and elevators to deal with, but one thing at a time. Way to go, Becky!
