Happy Canada Day!

We celebrated Canada’s birthday by heading down to Celebration Square in Mississauga.

It was pretty busy. We missed our ninety-year old Mayor opening the ceremonies, but as I arrived, I did see all five feet of her swish by in a red cape. Many people wore red and white for the day, including Becky and myself,

But isn’t that an England shirt, Becky?

There are many events planned for the day including live music, rock climbing, soccer, and of course, lots of food. The day will close with fireworks around 10 pm this evening. We couldn’t stay that long, despite dipping into the library a couple of times to cool down. Becky just can’t take the heat, and we’ll be able to see the fireworks from the condo balcony anyway. Instead, we headed home for a cup of tea and a cupcake.

Happy Canada Day!!!!
