Birthday Girl

Becky turned twenty-three today. She had a great day at her day program. They gave her a little party. I bought her some gourmet cupcakes. We came home, had a cup of tea and some cake, and then Becky flooded the laundry room. I kid you not!

She got a piece of clothing stuck in the door of the front loading washer, and the washer spilt it’s guts all over the floor. There was about a half inch of water when I realized something didn’t sound right. Unfortunately, we have used the small room for storage, so I started pulling everything out of there at break-neck speed. The living room is now piled high with soaking wet Christmas decorations, suitcases, and assorted items.

This is hard on the heels of Becky’s second coffee burn, which happened on the weekend. See Christmas Eve for the first one. She had not been at her day program this week, until today, because of the swelling on her right ankle, caused by the scalding Americano coffee. The back up support staff has been to emergency twice in a week, so no help there.

At twenty-three, that girl sure knows how to party! I am definitely having a drink to celebrate!

  2. Tom Bradley says:

The girl should be a product tester…front load machines aren’t supposed to do that!
Made for great conversation and a fun night out…never dull…
