A lovely lady from Australia took this photo for us. She had driven from L. A. across Route 66 to Chicago and then over to Niagara. One of the many interesting people we met.
Highlights of the trip:
Christmas Eve dinner overlooking the Falls. Magical.
Becky’s marriage proposal to the man running the chocolate shop.
The family that came down to breakfast in their pajamas and slippers. Who knew ‘onesies’ came in adult sizes?
The child in the hotel, fully dressed, soaked from head to toe, sloshing his way from the pool area sniveling and whining. I think someone got excited and jumped in…his Dad didn’t look impressed.
Driving around to see the wonderful Festival of Lights. So Christmassy.
All these things made me smile, and still make me smile when I remember them. Becky and I had a great time. There were lots of people doing the same thing we were, and everyone was chatty and smiling, and generally having a good time. There was no cooking or clean up, there were lots of activities to keep us busy, and Niagara is beautiful night and day, any time of year. We would definitely do this again. Forget destination weddings, how about destination Christmas’.
I love the idea of destination Christmas. Niagra looks beautiful too! Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Merry Christmas, Renee, and a Happy New Year!
Long drive! Looks like a nice trip to Niagara 🙂
