I suppose the other side of the “no privacy” coin, is the “no show”, which is what happened this morning. After fifteen minutes Becky called the agency to see what was going on, and got an answering machine.  She left a message, but no-one has called back.  We have a meeting scheduled with one of the agency coordinators in half an hour, so I asked Becky what she would like to do.  Did she want me to shower her or leave her.  She said she wanted to leave it because she, “wanted them to see the consequences of their actions”.  Fair enough.  So Becky will be attending this mornings meeting in her pajamas with her hair sticking out at twenty angles.  A good start to the day.  Should be a fun meeting.  🙂

Becky’s stubborn streak has served her well following her injury. The meeting was one those moments. She got everything sorted no problem. I asked her how it went. She showed me her fist and said, “power to the people”! What a gal! Love her to pieces. 😀

    hmmmmmmmmmmm…How did it go?

  3. It can be a frustrating and sometimes demoralising situation to rely so heavily on others. Great to read that Becky would not let it pass unnoticed. I hope you both gave them a proper mouthful!

    Best wishes

Wanted to add: I am so glad to hear Becky advocating for herself! Also, have had 25 years in the field of medical social work and am so glad that meeting is not in my office. However, as I said before, I would love to be a fly on the wall just to see chebandbecky in action. You go!
